CNA Acute Care TrainingDescription: The Acute Care Nurse Assistant is a CNA who works in various departments of acute care hospitals such as medical surgical (MS), telemetry, intensive care unit (ICU), emergency room (ER), pediatric units, labor and delivery (L&D) within the scope of practice of the CNA. This certification helps you stand out from the other applicants when applying for jobs in hospitals, and can be the difference between you getting the job or not. Students will acquire expanded acute care skills, increase employment opportunities in acute care settings. Also the skills learned can be used as a ladder to help transition into the Practical Nursing and Associate Degree Nursing programs.
Purpose: This comprehensive training course will provide the Acute CNA with the necessary knowledge and skills needed to be able to deliver direct patient care to adults with complex and acute illnesses being cared in emergency departments, intensive care, trauma units, or other specialty care areas.
